07/02 -

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co KG(www.kmweg.de), Munich, Germany
Systems Engineer Research and Development

Research and development of different military-grade software applications for armoured vehicles such as the well-known Leopard tanks:
  • Developed different applications for the visualization of navigation data, vehicle built-in test procedures, tactical and logistic data with CANBUS and Ethernet communications under Windows NT Embedded and Windows XP Embedded
  • Programmed various microcontroller families such as Motorola 68020, 68376, PPC and Atmel AVR for real-time data acquisition for very high reliability requirements with GNU C and Microtec C
  • Developed an external measurement system for the end-testing and failure localization in a hybrid environment under Intel/MS Windows XP Embedded with .NET for the user interface and database connection and real-time modules under PPC with RTAI/Linux with VME-Bus for the stimulus and acquisition of data. Programmed different data processing algorithms, such as different grades of FIR- and IIR-Filters, 3D target finding vector coordinate conversions.
  • Programmed GPS communication modules, waypoint and direction calculation algorithms under different GEO coordinate systems such as MGRS, UTM, GEO and SNG under WGS-84 and ED-50
  • Programmed mapping and visualization of tactical data.
  • Programmed video processing algorithms for overlaying of different video sources such as infrared cameras rest light amplified and regular cameras with motion detection.
